BNP leader Khairul Islam was seriously injured in the terrorist Alal attack in Trishal

There was a terrorist attack on a BNP leader for non-payment of subscription in Haddervita village of No. 2 Bailor Union of Trishal Upazila of Mymensingh. Md. Khairul Islam (45), the former co-organizing secretary of Bailor Union BNP and the current 9th Ward BNP presidential candidate, was seriously injured in this. Currently he is in Mymensingh Medical College HospitalHe is under treatment.
Injured Khairul Islam is the son of deceased Ah Khalek. He has been involved in local politics for a long time and is a well-known fishmonger.
According to local sources, last Saturday (October 18, 2025) around 11:00 p.m., Trishal Municipal Jubo League’s Environment Affairs Secretary and the top terrorist of the banned Awami League, Alal Mondal (30), called Khairul Islam from his home. After a while, Alal and his associates demanded a contributionby doing When Khairul Islam refused, Alal got angry and ran away with a sharp knife.
Hearing the screams, the locals quickly rushed to the spot and rescued Khairul Islam in a bloody state and admitted him to the Trishal Upazila Health Complex. Later doctors found his condition serious and sent him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
In this incident, Mahmuda Khatun (35), wife of the injured, filed a written complaint at Trishal police stationfiled “Alal and his forces have been creating an atmosphere of extortion, terror and fear in the area for a long time. As my husband refused to pay extortion, they attacked with intent to kill,” he said in the complaint.
Since the incident, there has been extreme panic and anger in the area. Local BNP leaders and common people demand swift arrest of terrorist Alal and his associates and exemplary punishment.Said
Trishal Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Munsoor Ahmed said, “Complaints have been received regarding the incident. Legal action will be taken after investigation.
