Two establishments fined for producing food in unhygienic environment in Trishal

In Trishal Upazila of Mymensingh, action has been taken against two food establishments in a mobile court operation on charges of producing and storing food products in unsanitary conditions.
The operation was conducted under the leadership of Abdullah Al Bakiul Bari, Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate, on Tuesday (October 21) at noon.is
During the operation, Arshi Food Products, Halim Bakery and Asad Bakery of Trishal Municipal area were visited. The inspection found evidence of production, storage and sale of food products in unsanitary and unhygienic environment.
At that time, a total fine of 35 thousand taka was paid in two cases under the Consumer Rights Protection Act.
The upazila executive officer said, “The issue of food production is related to human health and safetydirectly involved. Therefore, food production or storage in unsanitary environment will not be tolerated in any way. Such operations will continue in the future as well.”
Officials of the local administration and members of the law enforcement force were present in the operation.
