Agriculture promotion meeting held at North Bengal Sugar Mill, Natore

Akhachasi promotion and exchange meeting was held at North Bengal Sugar Mill Auditorium at Lalpur, Natore.
Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Chairman of Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industry Corporation Rashidul Hasan participated virtually in the meeting organized by Bangladesh Sugarcane Akhchashi Federation on Thursday morning.

Jugam was present among othersSecretary and Director of Development and Research Dr. Abdul Alim Khan, Managing Director of North Bengal Sugar Mills Farid Hossain Bhuiyan and leaders of Akhchashi Federation.

The speakers said that it is not possible to sustain the sugar industry without the development of sugarcane cultivation.
At that time, 11-point demands were presented by Akhchashi Federation, which include-
Demands for keeping sugar mills running, setting fair price of sugarcane and providing incentives including payment of dues to farmers.
