‘Drug king’ Sagar Shikder arrested in Pirojpur, smiles on the faces of local residents

Sagar Shikdar was the name of Pirojpur, the terror of many days. The lives of common people were disturbed under the rule of this volunteer league leader and the so-called ‘drug king’ of Pirojpur municipality’s Ward No. 2. The victims of the area said that his name is accused in multiple criminal cases starting from women scam, kidnapping, extortion. For years he terrorized the area with his power and underworld network. As the news of the arrest spread, there was relief among the locals, many of them talking about breathing freely. A resident said in an emotional voice,”Life became miserable due to Sagar’s torture. Our children were always in fear. He extorted money from us, threatened us if we protested. Thank God, the police arrested him.”
The victim said, (Sagar) not only sold drugs but also tried to destroy our honor. Many mothers and sisters could not go out for fear of him. Today we got a new life.

The local residents have only one demand, thisThe ‘drug king’ should not escape punishment in any way. They want all the cases against Sagar Shikdar to be speedily disposed of and his strict (extreme) punishment to be ensured, so that it becomes an example for wrongdoers like him.
