Rajbari’s Goland Upazila Agriculture Officer Raihanul Haider has been accused of misbehaving with journalists.

Gwaland Upazila of Channel S Television and Dainik Amar Sangbad newspaper did not support the information when going to the office of the Agriculture Officer regarding the complaint of sale of fertilizer at higher price than the fixed price.He behaved disrespectfully with representative Md. Zahidul Islam Sheikh and Goland upazila representative of Amar Desh Patrika Zahurul Islam Halim.

The incident took place at the Upazila Agriculture Officer’s office on Tuesday, October 21 at around 1:30 p.m.

In this regard, journalist Zahidul Islam Sheikh said that the fixed price of DAP fertilizer announced by the government this year is Tk 21. But this fertilizer is being sold in the retail market at the rate of Tk 29 per kg. After knowing this, ITalking to the farmers at the field level got the truth of the incident and the retail dealers and BCIC dealers have no say. Finally, I went to the Upazila Agriculture Officer’s office around 1:30 pm on Tuesday to hear his statement. But instead of giving me information, he got angry with me and abused me in various unspeakable languages. Later I left from there.
