Upazila engineer Abu Syed has been accused of embezzling Tk 8 lakh from Annual Development Fund (ADB) in the name of two bogus projects in Manda upazila of Naogaon. Although the project documents show that the work has been completed, no existence of these projects has been found in reality.
Prasadpur Bazar roundabout under ADB for FY 2024-255 lakhs for renovation and Rs.3 lakhs for construction of new roundabout in Panjarvanga market have been shown. The two projects are included in the list of Upazila LGED office at number 34 and 145 respectively.
However, the on-site investigation has shown that no development work has been done at the two places concerned. Rakibul Islam, a local resident of Prasadpur Bazar, said, “No work has been done at the roundabout.” But something old political with waterThe poster was seen to be cleaned.
