Comilla and Brahmanbaria border seized goods worth 110 crore rupees in 10 months

BGB-60 battalion has seized smuggled goods worth Tk 110 crore in 10 months of this year from different border areas of four upazilas of Comilla and Brahmanbaria. These products include sarees, three-pieces, mobile phone displays, cosmetics, medicines etc.

Meanwhile, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized Indian goods worth around five crore 70 lakh taka by conducting a special operation in the border area of ​​Comilla on Thursday morning. This product was seized from the border area of ​​Burichong Upazila of the district.
BGB-60 battalion captain Lt. colonelMd. Ziaur Rahman said that illegal Indian sarees and three-piece worth Tk 1 crore 19 lakh 91 thousand and Indian glasses worth Tk 4 crore 50 lakh 80 thousand were seized in the border area. The matter of submitting the recovered goods to Comilla Customs is under process.
He also said that such operation of BGB will continue to prevent smuggling at the border, he said, ‘Now human trafficking does not happen at all. The smuggled goods that are coming belong to BGBBeing caught in the hand. BGB was able to seize 110 crores of smuggled goods in 10 months. In addition, he said in response to the questions of the journalists that the BGB operation is also active to ensure that weapons and crimes do not take place around the national elections.
