Two veteran volunteers who participated in the historic voluntary canal cutting program of martyred President Ziaur Rahman in the course of post-independence reconstruction and agricultural development of Bangladesh have been honored. On Friday (October 24), the award was presented in a casual ceremony at Indurkani (Zianagar) upazila of Pirojpur district.is done This historic program started in 1977 under the leadership of martyred President Ziaur Rahman is considered as an important milestone in the rural development of Bangladesh. Hafiz Al Asad, director of Ziaur Rahman Foundation and joint editor of daily Kaler Kantha, prominent journalist leader was present as a special guest.Saeed Khan, former joint secretary of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Nationalist Youth Dal Reza Pahlavi Masum, former president of Pirojpur District Chhatra Dal Hasanul Kabir Lean and former member of District BNP Akhtaruzzaman Sheikh Rahad. The honorees are Hedayetul Islam and Shahjahan Badsha. They participated in voluntary work for rural infrastructure and agricultural development of the country on the call of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman.
