Training on “Professional Ethics and Code of Conduct” at Patuakhali University.

A day-long training workshop titled “Professional Ethics and Code of Conduct for Support Staff” was held at Patuakhali University of Science and Technology (Paviprabi). The day-long training took place in the virtual classroom of the University’s Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department on Monday (October 27).The program was organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Dr. Kazi Rafiqul Islam. The vice-chancellor of the university was present as a special guest. S. M. Hemayet Jahan, Treasurer Prof. Abdul Latif. Every employee, officer and teacher of the university is the spokesperson of this institution. Therefore, it is important to show professionalism and ethics in our behavior, words and actions.” Good governance and standard administration of the universityThe role of support staff is very important in maintaining the environment. A small mistake can upset the entire process, while a conscious decision can set the whole office in motion. Therefore, work should be done with the attitude of respect and cooperation, following the rules. By helping each other, through coordination, we can build an efficient, service-oriented and ethical administration.”
The Vice-Chancellor added, “Today’s trainingWorkshops are not only about learning rules, but also about instilling a sense of responsibility. If everyone fulfills their responsibilities properly, Pobiprobi will be an ideal institution – which will be an example in the higher education system of the country.” In the training program, sessions on various important topics were conducted by experienced teachers and administrative officers. In the morning session, Dr. Md. Shafait Hossain “Writing Clear and Concise Official Notes” and “BestPractices in Office File and Record Management”. After the discussion on “Enhancing Cooperation and Respect among Colleagues” in the afternoon, University Registrar Professor Dr. Md. Iqtiyar Uddin spoke on “University Staff Conduct and Responsibility” in the afternoon session. Later I-QAC Additional Director Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Masud spoke on “Ethics in the Workplace”.And in the closing session, Director of Accounts Mohammad Jasim Uddin spoke on “Cash Purchase: Adjustment and Updated VAT-Tax Deduction”.
