A memorial meeting and doa mahfil was held on the initiative of late Mir Anam Ali and Anwara Motaleb Memorial Sangsad in the premises of Darul Falah Madrasa and Orphanage adjacent to Yarpur Union Parishad in Ashulia of Dhaka District. In the event, special prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the souls of the deceased and for the speedy recovery of the sick journalistsPrayer is done.
President of International Press Club and Dhaka Press Club Aurangzeb Kamal presided over the event. He said in his speech, “I wish for the forgiveness of the souls of late Mir Anam Ali and Anwara Motaleb. Dhaka Press Club is currently working as a bridge between domestic and international journalists. We are unitedly working for the professional development of journalists. The Chief Guest of the programMir Ishtiat Ali, Central General Secretary of International Press Club and Chairman of Pakistan Journalists Association, was also connected virtually. He prayed for the forgiveness of the souls of the deceased and said,
“We are working to improve the quality of journalism worldwide. International Press Club President Aurangzeb Kamal has brought together journalists from around the world and turned it into a great bridge. Pakistan has alwaysBangladesh is on the side, inshallah. We will work together to improve journalism. International Press Club Organizing Secretary Samaresh Roy joined virtually from India. He said, “I wish the souls of the deceased parents of the organization’s president Aurangzeb Kamal and office secretary KM Mohammad Hossain Rizvi to rest in peace. I express my sincere gratitude to the journalists of Bangladesh for including me in this event.Md. Ruhul Amin, eminent social worker and adviser of the organization, spoke as the main speaker. He said, “Man is not eternal. We should convey the message of Deen education and human values to the next generation through our actions and ideals. Zahirul Islam Khan Liton, Senior Staff Reporter of Asian TV was the main speaker of the event. Dua was conducted and recited by the Principal of Darul Falah Madrasa and Orphanage and Khatib of the local mosque, Mufti Maulana Junayed Ahmed (D.B).

At the end of the event, dinner was served among local dignitaries including about three hundred orphans and students of Hafez Madrasah. Journalists from Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Myanmar and Saudi Arabia participated in the final stage of the eventAlcohol is served with the members. At this time, Mufti Maulana Junaid Ahmed discussed various issues with the Chairman of Pakistan Journalists Association for about half an hour in Urdu.
