Madrasa director Imran Sarkar arrested on charges of rape in Chunarughat

Police arrested a madrasa director on Tuesday night (November 4) on charges of rape in Chunarughat upazila of Habiganj district. The arrested person is Hafeez Imran Sarkar (30). He was serving as the director of Madrasah Tahsinul Quran International. The institute is located in West Pakuria on the eastern side of DCP High School in Chunarughat Sadar area.
Police andAccording to local sources, recently a complaint was made against director Imran Sarkar for immoral activities with a student of that madrasa. When the incident was leaked, there was widespread anger in the area. Later, with the help of locals, the police arrested him and took him to Chunarughat police station.
Imran Sarkar’s house was detained in Kalenga Himalaya Gulambari area of ​​No. 10 Mirashi Union of Chunarughat Upazila. There is extreme anger among the local people in this incident.Locals demanded exemplary punishment.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Chunarughat police station Zahidul Islam said, “Investigation is going on regarding the incident. Preliminary evidence has been found, the accused Imran Sarkar is being interrogated. After the investigation, legal action will be taken.”
The incident has created panic in the educational institution and parents are worried about the safety of their children.
