Sandwip Society USA, the largest expatriate organization in the United States, has formed a new executive committee for the year 2026-27. News ibnnewsFiroz Ahmed was re-elected as President and Alamgir Hossain as General Secretary. The Committee was announced by the Election Commission of Sandwip Society. The head of the election commission was Alhaj Gazi Modachher Mia, the other commissioners were Sanaullah Hasan, Forkan Uddin, Maksudur Rahman and Arif R Chowdhury. New members of this committee are: Senior Vice President Manzoor Quader Sohag, Vice President Abdus Salam Labu, Abdul Mannan and Alamgir Hossain, Joint General Secretary Monirul Islam, Organizing Secretary Jasim Uddin, Deputy Organizing Secretary Alauddin Farooq, Treasurer Anwarul Islam, Assistant Treasurer Md. Sohel, Samaj Kalyan OCultural Secretary Nazim Uddin Sujan, Education and Literary Secretary Mahmudul Hasan Rajeev, Sports and Health Secretary Jobaidul Islam, Training and Work Resources Secretary Mohammad Arif, Publicity Secretary Imrul Hasan Arfan, Office Secretary Ajmir Hossain, Mainstream and Legal Affairs Secretary Arifuzzaman, Information andTechnical Editor Rehan Uddin Sohail.According to the Election Commission, the new committee will elect 16 executive members in their first meeting.
