
Body exhumed 6 months after murder in Tangail Nagarpur
Badshah Mia’s body was exhumed from the grave on Thursday morning, November 6, nearly 6 months after a case was filed against Nagarpur Upazila BNP leader Badshah for allegedly beating his cousin Jabbar to death due to a dispute between the cousins over land.
Due to a land dispute with a cousin in Sudampara village of Mamudnagar union of Nagarpur upazila of Tangail.A case has been filed against the cousins of the upazila who allegedly beat up Jabbar (65), the son of the deceased Chan Mia.
Daughter-in-law of deceased Jabbar Mia said that the post-mortem report of my father-in-law was not acceptable to us, so we applied for a re-investigation and the body was picked up today after 6 months. We want the accused to be hanged through a proper investigation.
It is known from the locals that Badshah Gong was disputing about 24 percent of his grandfather’s land. the heirAccording to the deceased Jabbar Mia owned 6 percent of the land. And with this land, cousin upazila BNP leader Badsha beat and killed Jabbar while using party influence. The victim’s family also said that five people were seriously injured.
On Monday 19th May at 6 o’clock in the morning Gostighat’s cousin Khalek, Badsha, was fatally injured in a fight over land with Chanwars and died on the spot.Jabbar

Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Deep Bhowmik said that Jabbar Mia’s body has been exhumed for re-investigation on the orders of Nagarpur Thana Police and Amara Court.
