
A two-day training workshop was held on the preparation and marketing of dairy products.
A 2-day field level training workshop on production and marketing of dairy products and livestock protection was held by BRAC Microfinance (Dabi) of Tangail-3 region in Ajgara village under BRAC branch of Simantabarti Dhanbari of Madhupur upazila of Tangail.
BRAC Microfinance Programme(Dabi) organized a two-day training workshop on production and marketing of dairy products on Tuesday (November 11) morning.
Biswajit Kumar Dey, Regional Manager-Claims (Tangail-3 Region) presided over, moreover Tanya Nasreen, Divisional Sector, discussed the ongoing products of BRAC Microfinance Crop Security Insurance, Livestock Protection Insurance, Aquaculture Insurance and Up-Coming Agricultural Products and Services.Specialist, Central-1 (Agriculture and Insurance Unit) and Tangail-3 (Agriculture and Insurance Unit) Extension Officer Md. Bakiur Rahman.
Dhanbari Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Biplab Kumar Pal discussed in detail about cattle care, health and various diseases such as anthrax, LSD, FMD etc. In his speech, he expressed the intention of the cow farmers and assured that he will stand by the farmers in any need.After a detailed discussion on the preparation of dairy products like curd, ghee, butter, chickpeas, etc., all are explained through practical classes. The practical class was conducted by Shahabuddin, an artisan in the manufacture of dairy products.

Farmers are trained in thisgained practical experience from and said that such programs are very effective for them. They believe that it will play an important role in increasing milk production. They also said that this great initiative of BRAC Microfinance is undoubtedly a timely and fruitful step for the farmers. Finally, the farmers thanked BRAC for this initiative and called for the continuation of such workshops.
