Khagrachari Region Commander Brigadier General has urged everyone to stop the extortion of regional armed organizations in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Hasan Mahmud. He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the meeting with prominent businessmen and contractors of the district in the auditorium of Khagrachari Cantonment Public School and College on Tuesday (November 11) at 10 am.
In the meeting, Brigadier General Hasan Mahmud said, “Chittagong Hill TractsRegional armed groups are wreaking havoc in the hills through extortion, terror and hegemony politics. They systematically seek to maintain an unstable environment by creating division and hatred between the Pahari and Bengali communities. This situation is not good for anyone.”
He further said, “Due to extortion, the economy of hilly areas is hampered, investment and development activities are stagnant. So now is the timeLet’s stand together and build social resistance against this immoral act.”
The region commander told businessmen and contractors, “No one should give money to these terrorist groups out of fear or temptation. If anyone demands subscription, immediately inform the administration and army. We are by your side, will give full cooperation.”
