In Amanura Jumarpara of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila, a police officer went to the spot after receiving information that a robbery was going on by throwing a tree on the road and got injured. The incident took place at Jumarpara area of ​​Jhelim Union of Sadar Upazila around 11:30 pm on Tuesday (November 11).
The injured police officer is in-charge of Amanura Investigation Centreand Sub-Inspector (SI) Nurul Islam (47). He is currently undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. However, Chapainawabganj Additional Superintendent of Police Wasim Feroze said that SI Nurul Islam is currently out of danger.
According to police, a 999 call was received to report that a robbery was taking place by throwing a tree on the road. Meanwhile, the SI in charge of Amanura investigation center went to the spot on a motorcycle from Amanura.Nurul Islam. SI Nurul Islam was going separately to the spot with a police team and a motorcycle after informing the members in charge of the police check post in the middle of the road. However, as he reached the spot alone earlier, miscreants attacked him.
Additional Superintendent of Police Wasim Feroze told Samad Sangbad that SI Nurul Islam was found alone and immediately a member of the dacoity beat him on his hands and feet.
