Women Trafficking in Malaysia: Nazneen is being held hostage and demanded for ransom, her safety is now in extreme danger. A young woman named Nazneen of Savar was lured abroad by Satta Travels as a restaurant manager in Paltan, Dhaka. On November 15 at 8:25 am, Sohag, the owner of Travels, took him with a return ticket for the US-Bangla flight.

The first message that Nazneen gives to her family on her arrival in Malaysia is that she has been locked up alone in an unfamiliar hostel room. Soon after this, the horror of the whole incident came to the fore.

Taking advantage of the family’s financial difficulties, a man named Suman introduced Nazneen to Dalal Montu, promising her a good job in Malaysia. Montu then sent him to Arafat at Satta Travels in Paltan. Arafat accepted Tk 1 lakh from Nazneen on the promise of giving her a job in the restaurant.

Then he went to Malaysia with Sohag Nazneen, the owner of Satta Travels. But after reaching there, the reality changed, Nazneen was kept captive, and Montu and Sohag, who were in the country, started demanding a ransom of 4 lakh rupees. An ultimatum was given to send the ransom by noon on November 17. They told the family that Nazneen would be sold if she did not send money to the account of Tazul Islam, A/C: 1521580002460, DBBL, and threatened her with “huge loss”.

Meanwhile, Arafat told the family, “If you don’t give money, they will not take responsibility for what happens.” Nazneen is now in danger of life and death.
In such a situation, it is the urgent duty of the state, law enforcement agencies and embassies to ensure his safety and speedy rescue.

We concerned authorities, Malaysia and Bangladesh Missions,We urge law enforcement agencies and human rights organizations to intervene immediately.
