Border guards: BGB raid!
More than 6 crore rupees smuggled from Chittagong region; Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has launched a war against smugglers by securing the country's borders with stronger surveillance in the new BOP. Chittagong Region announced their recent record-breaking success at a special press briefing organized by the Panchari Battalion (3 BGB). In just one monthBGB members have been able to seize illegal goods worth more than 6 crore 31 lakh 82 thousand 575 taka!
BGB's crackdown on drug syndicates: mission to save lives!
BGB's constant struggle is going on with 'Zero Tolerance' policy in anti-drug activities to save the young generation from destruction. Smugglers are forced to retreat in the face of strict patrols and raids. The large fleet of drugs seized included:
Large quantities of cannabis: 388.31KG, Foreign liquor and beer: 677 bottles (477 bottles of liquor, 200 bottles of beer), Yaba tablets: 429 pcs.
Protection of revenue and prevention of cattle smuggling:
BGB has stopped the smuggling of cattle causing health risks and harming local farmers. They seized 501 cows and 36 goats and deposited revenue in the government treasury. Besides, huge quantity of illegal timber (19,31,293 cubic feet), 11 lakh cigarette filters, 3210 packets of foreign cigarettes and17 different types of illegally smuggled vehicles have been seized.

New force on border: A new BOP (Chhotfaringa) has been deployed in Ramgarh Battalion under Guimara Sector, which has strengthened border surveillance.
Operation Transition: To ensure peace and harmony in the hilly areasBGB operation continues. Tragically, 110 brave BGB members have been martyred so far in the line of duty in the region.
Paradigm of Restraint: BGB members brought the situation under control by showing utmost patience and professionalism in the violent situation in Khagrachari district recently in the name of blockade.

Medical Care: 744 poor people were given free medical care and medicine in 2 medical campaigns.
Assistance Program: Financial grants, cotton for house construction, sewing training, and winter clothes have been distributed to more than 1,000 people.
Light of Education: More than 2300 poor students have been supported with educational materials.
Bravery in firefighting: Last October 05 at Jaliapara market in GuimarasDuring the terrible fire, it was possible to avoid major damage by working shoulder to shoulder with the fire service and other forces to bring the fire under control.
