Distribution of seeds and storage drums among farmers in LSTD project in Purwadhala of Netrakona.
Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRI) has distributed Ufshi variety seeds and storage drums to local farmers in the eastern part of Netrakona. On Thursday (November 27) morning, the program was held in Badebinna village of Dhalamulgaon Union to finance the LSTD project and to implement the Bri Regional Office Netrakona.is
The program on modern rice production technology was also officially inaugurated in the area designated as 'Technology Village'. The program was presided over by Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension Department, Netrakona. Amirul Islam. The chief guest was the project director. Anwar Hossain.
Additional Deputy Director Moksudul Haque, Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. was present as a special guest. Jobair Islam and project scientist. KhalidHasan Sourav and Hur-i Ferdowsi Tajin.
Speakers said, "Modern technology-based farming is essential for food security and sustainable development of agriculture. Farmers should be encouraged to adopt scientific methods."
Hundreds of farmers and local dignitaries, teachers, journalists and human rights activists were present in the event.
