Family planning workers are on strike in Dumuria to collect their demands

The main factors influencing the movement are:
Prolonged deprivation: The field workers of the Family Planning Department are claiming that they have been deprived of recruitment rules for 26 years.
Lack of promotion: Employees are forced to retire from the same position they started in the same position due to lack of recruitment rules. This excludes them from promotion and grade change, as compared to other revenue sector employeesDepriving them.
Social and Economic Discrimination: They complain of loss of social status and financial loss due to non-promotion.
Demand: Their main and only demand is to implement the proposed Recruitment Rules-2024 quickly and finally.
As part of the agitation, Family Welfare Inspectors (FPI), Family Welfare Assistants (FWA) and Family Welfare Inspectors (FWV) are on strike in various areas andCarrying out the position program. In many places, they have announced to continue the strike till December 11 and have warned of tougher action if their demands are not met. They even announced a boycott of upcoming family planning services and campaign weeks.
