Human chain in Birganj protesting attempt to occupy Karimpur cemetery

Protecting the honor of the dead and resisting the efforts of the graveyard occupiers, keeping in front of this slogan, the big Karimpur Durgadanga graveyard in Birganj of Dinajpur has been a graveyard since time immemorial, some people are trying to occupy the graveyard by showing fake documents and making false claims.

Big on Wednesday (December 3) at 11amOrganized by the residents of Karimpur, this human chain was held on the road adjacent to the cemetery.

Dargadanga Cemetery Committee President Mohsin Ali (Shamim), Secretary Gholam Mostafa, No. 1 Member Md. Khairul Islam, Member Rafiq Ahmed, Md. Israfil Alam, Fazlul Haque and many others spoke in the human chain.

It has been alleged that the large Karimpur Durgadanga graveyard, which has been in use since time immemorial, has been used by some persons with fake documents and false claims.They are taking steps to occupy. Residents protested against this incident.

People from different classes and professions participated in the human chain and demanded to protect the cemetery.

Locals said that the cemetery is associated with the memory of their ancestors and religious obligations. So possession will not be allowed under any circumstances. They demanded effective action from the administration against the quick encroachment.
