In Dumki upazila, the hanging body of a tea shopkeeper in Pirtala market.

Ilyas Hossain Khan (45), a tea shopkeeper of Pirtala Bazar in Dumki Upazila, burdened with NGO debts, committed suicide by wrapping a veil around his neck and hanging himself with a fan. This suicide incident took place at the house of Latif Khan of Jhatara village of Angaria Union in Dumki Upazila of Patuakhali district on Saturday at 4 pm. Sources said husband/wife named Jihad Store in Dumki's Pirtala BazarHe was running a business. As usual, when wife Taslima goes to the shop, husband Elias goes home to have lunch. After eating, he closed the door of the room, wrapped the veil around his neck and committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan. Later, when the people in the neighborhood informed the police, the Dumki police station recovered the body. Wife Taslima Begum said that there were at least 15 to 20 installments of the NGO, every day of the week except Friday.Two or three NGOs were worried about installments. And was mentally broken.
