6th anniversary of Chittagong Hill Citizens Parishad celebrated: Call to stop conspiracy.

The 6th anniversary of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Citizens Parishad (PCNP) which aims to realize the rights of the neglected and constitutionally deprived people of Chittagong Hill Tracts has been celebrated with due dignity. On Sunday (December 7) at 3 pm, the day was celebrated with a colorful program at the district office at Musafir Park, Bandarban.

This organization made its debut on December 5, 2019 to protect the rights of the common people of Chittagong Hill Tracts. Since then, the leaders and workers of the organization have been observing this day every year in the three hill districts of Rangamati, Khagrachari and Bandarban.

Central Chairman of Chittagong Hill Tracts Citizens Parishad Kazi Md. Mujibur Rahman was present as the chief guest in the discussion meeting organized on the occasion of the foundation anniversary. CHT Harmony Alliance Convener Engineer Thoiching Mong Shak, Spokesperson Paishikhei Marma were the special guests. The chief guest officially started the event by cutting the cake along with the leaders and activists of the organization.

Kazi Md. Mujibur Rahman, Central Chairman of Chittagong Hill Tracts Citizens Parishad, was present as the chief guest in the celebration of the foundation anniversary. Acting President of Bandarban District PCNP Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Vice President Abdul Alim Manu, Joint General Secretary Iqbal Mahmud, Joint General Secretary Md Shahjalal, Organizing Secretary Md Nurul Abshar, Municipal PCNP President Shamchul Haque Samu, Organizing Secretary Md Monirul Islam, Sualak Union PCNP President Abdul Aziz, General Secretary Rafiq Ullah Bhuiyan, District PCNP Member Md Kabir Hossain, Central Youth Council Organizing Secretary Md Ibrahim, Student Council District Vice President Md Zamir Uddin, Joint General Secretary Md Mejbah Uddin along with other leaders of Citizens Parishad, Student Council and Youth Council.

In the speech of the chief guest, Kazi Md. Mujibur Rahman expressed deep concern about the current situation in Chittagong Hill Tracts. He said, "Desi about Chittagong Hill Tracts-There is a multifaceted foreign conspiracy going on. Hill separatist armed groups are trying to create an anarchic situation in the region by creating terror among the common people.”

He further warned, "If these terrorist groups are not eradicated immediately, our freedom and sovereignty will be under serious threat. We must all unite to ensure equal constitutional rights for all ethnic groups living in the Chittagong Hill Tracts and protect the integrity of the country.”

Speakers mentioned in their speech that the Chittagong Hill Tracts Citizens Council has been working for the land rights, education and employment opportunities and life security of the common people of the hills since birth. On this anniversary day, they strongly demanded the administration to recover illegal weapons from the hills and ensure a peaceful environment free from terrorism.

At the last stage of the ceremony, the souls of all the martyrs killed in terrorist attacks in Chittagong Hill Tracts were prayed for. The end of the meeting was declared with a special prayer and prayer. Praying for the peace of the country,It is prayed to Almighty Allah to ensure prosperity and safety of the common people of the hill region.
