In Dumki Upazila International Women’s Violence Prevention and Begum Rokeya Day is celebrated.

In Dumki Upazila of Patuakhali District, International Women’s Violence Prevention Party and Begum Rokeya Day 2025 were celebrated. On Tuesday (December 9) morning, a joint initiative of the Upazila Administration and the Department of Women’s Affairs held a rally, discussion meeting and awarding of various activities.
Dumki Upazila Executive Officer Farida Sultana was the chief guest in the day-long program. President of Upazila BNP Md Khalilur Rahman, General Secretary Md Saiful Alam Mridha, OC Md Salim Uddin, Upazila Youth Development Officer Syed Md Farooq Hossain, PIO Mohammad Ali, Palli Acumin Bank Manager Md Al Amin, NGO representative Hossain Ahmad Kabir and others spoke in the discussion meeting under the chairmanship of Upazila Women Affairs Officer Shahida Begum. Before this, a rally was taken out from the Upazila Parishad square and after the circuit of various roads, a discussion meeting was held in the Parishad auditorium.
Speakers in the meeting emphasized on preventing violence against women and girls and ensuring digital security. Later, awards were given to women who have achieved success in various fields. In the event, local public representatives, teachers,Students and representatives of various social organizations participated.
