Chapainawabganj Battalion (53 BGB) based on secret information today 05 December 2025 at approximately 1:00 PM, a special patrol team of Masudpur BOP under Chapainawabganj Battalion (53 BGB) arrested 02 Indian cattle smugglers and 01 Bangladeshi from Thuthapara village of Manaksha Union under Shibganj Thana of Chapainawabganj district. Arrested accomplices. The arrested are:
Md. Abdul Qadir (30), father-Nayumuddin Sheikh and Md. Delwar Hossain (34), father-Abdur Rashid, both of Village-Par Baidyanathpur, Post-Deonapur, Thana-Vishnabnagar, District-Malda, India.
Md Maruf (17), Father-Md Shafiqul Islam, Village-Tarapur, Post-Shahapara, Thana-Shibganj, District-Chapainawabganj.
On December 3, around 4 am, two Indian cattle smugglers entered Bangladesh along with four cows through unwired Fatehpur border and handed over the cows to local smuggler Md Fazel. As the dawn broke and the BGB patrol increased, they could not return and hid in the inaccessible pastures of Padma on 04 December. Later, with the help of associate Md Maruf, they hid in his house in Thuthapara Bazar. Necessary activities are underway at Shibganj police station to take legal action against the arrested Indian smugglers and their Bangladeshi associates.
