1 arrested along with 6 Indian stolen mobiles at Shibganj border

A special patrol team of Chowka BOP under the battalion conducted this operation in the responsible area of BOP at 02:45 on the basis of special secret information of Mahananda Battalion 59 BGB in Chapainawabganj. In the said raid, Md Sagar Islam (40), son of deceased Nurul Islam of Kalupur village in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj, was arrested along with 06 Indian used stolen mobile phones of various models from Bakher Ali village of Binodpur union under Shibganj police station of Chapainawabganj district, approximately 800 yards from border pillar 177/2-S inside Bangladesh. At present, the process of handing over the mobile phones of the arrested accused to Shibganj police station is going on.
In this regard, the commander of Mahananda Battalion (59 BGB) Lt Col Golam Kibria, BGBM, BGOM confirmed the truth of the matter. he saidBGB’s zero tolerance policy against all forms of smuggling is being adopted and this trend will continue in the future.
