59 BGB is playing an active role against smuggling in Chapainawabganj border

Mahananda Battalion (59 BGB) seized 94 bottles of narcotic Choco Plus syrup used as an alternative to Fensidil from the border of Shibganj Upazila of Chapainawabganj Mahananda Battalion on the basis of secret sources of Chapainawabganj Battalion. Today (December 12) at 01:55 midnight on Friday, 01 special patrol team of Chakpara BOP conducted an operation in Upchakpara village of Shahabazpur Union of Upazila, approximately 50 yards from border pillar 182/5-S inside Bangladesh. During the operation, when the smugglers fled after sensing the presence of the BGB, the patrol team was able to seize 94 bottles of Indian Choco Plus Syrup from the spot. Legal proceedings are ongoing regarding the seized Choco Plus Syrup.

In this regard, the commander of Mahananda Battalion (59 BGB) Lt Col Golam Kibria, BGBM, BGOM confirmed the truth of the matter. He said, this is a new addition to drug smuggling in the winter season, we are active at the border.Our all-out effort against all forms of drug smuggling continues.
