Indian liquor, saree, chadar and 2 cows were seized in separate operations of 53 BGB at the border

Chapainawabganj special patrol team of Chapainawabganj Battalion (53 BGB) conducted 03 separate operations between 12:00 PM and 04:00 AM on the border of Shibganj Upazila of Chapainawabganj and seized Indian liquor, sarees, sheets and cows. 01 special patrol of Fatepur BOP under 53 BGB raided Gaipara village of Paka Union under Shibganj police station and seized 47 bottles of Indian liquor and 28 Indian sarees, 31 sheets and 02 cows were seized with an estimated market value of Rs.07 lakhs. The seized liquor has been deposited at the Shibganj police station and the sarees, chadars and cows at the Chapainawabganj customs office.
Commander of Chapainawabganj Battalion (53 BGB) Lt. Col. Kazi Mustafizur Rahman, PSC confirmed the truth of the matter and said,BGB is always active to prevent any kind of illegal activities in the border area under the responsibility of the battalion.
