Prize distribution and discussion meeting among 163 scholarship students in Dirai, Sunamganj

In Dirai of Sunamganj, prize distribution, discussion meeting and cultural events were held on the occasion of awarding scholarships to 163 people who got scholarships in the primary scholarship examination.

On Saturday afternoon, Dirai Loknath-Sarla-Kumud-Reba and Mocha Kulsum Bibi organizations organized a joint initiative to give scholarships in the public meeting of Dirai Upazila Sadar.

Dirai Loknath-Sarla-Kumud-Reba Foundation Chairman Narayan Das presided over and organization member Anupam Das conducted the scholarship ceremony as chief guest, Dirai Upazila Executive Officer Sanjeev Sarkar.
Assistant District Assistant Primary Education Officer Shamim Ahmed, Founder Chairman of Dirai Himel Academy and Social Worker Jamil Chowdhury, Senior Investigative Reporter of Dainik Yugantar Nesrul Haque Khokon, General Secretary of Dirai Anirban Sansketing Sangsad Aminul Islam Amin, Principal of Dirai Government High School for Girls Md Zafar Iqbal, President of Dirai Bangladesh Government Primary School Head Teachers Association spoke as special guests. Das, Loknath-Sarla-Kumud- Reba and Mocha: Kulsoom Bibi Primary Scholarship Exam Controller Jewel Rana Talukder, Member Secretary Manoj Kanti Purkayesh and Suchita Roy and Rumi Akhtar and many others.
The speakers said that Sunamganj and Dirai, which are known as capitals of culture, have many young talented students, but the district is lagging behind in terms of education. So those who are parents of children must be more aware and concentrate on their children’s education. Because there is no substitute for education in the development of a nation. Later, the guests gave crests, certificates and schoolbags to 163 scholarship students.
It is to be noted that on 7th November 2025 Loknath Sarla Kumud Reba and Mosa Kulsum Bibi primary scholarship examination was conducted with the participation of more than 13 hundred students in the third, fourth and fifth classes of 113 public and private primary schools of the upazila. Among these students, 163 students passed the scholarship examination.Certificates and schoolbags were distributed by the guests. ##
