International Volunteer Day celebration in Rajivpur

"Every contribution is important" - Keeping this motto in front of Rajibpur Upazila of Kurigram district, the non-governmental development organization Friendship has organized a rally and discussion meeting on the occasion of International Volunteer Day-2025. The rally started from the Union Parishad square at 10:00 am on Monday and circled the main roads of the union.
Project Implementation Officer of Rajibpur Upazila Ataur Rahman was present as the chief guest, Mahbubur Rashid Mondal, Principal of Char Rajibpur BM & Technical College was present as a special guest.
Rajibpur Sadar Union Parishad Chairman Miron Md Elias presided over the event.

Project Manager of Friendship Climate Action Sector Mr. Md. Abu Saeed, Mr. Anwar Hossain and other workers were also present. Apart from this, dignitaries of the area and more than one hundred volunteers of Friendship were present.

Any small or big contribution to society is important. The humanitarian work done by Friendship volunteers on a regular basis is truly commendable. The role they play by standing next to people in flood, winter or other disasters is making our society more humane. The participation of women volunteers in particular is very positive. The development of society and state is not possible without the active participation of women - so women should come forward in these social activities.
Mr. Ataur Rahman, project implementation officer of the upazila, said that friendship volunteers stand by the affected people by responding quickly during disasters.
Principal Mahbubur Rashid Mandal said, not only during disasters, but throughout the year they are active in various social activities including raising awareness, protecting the environment, preventing child marriage, protecting children and women, and promoting safe water. Our aim is to engage the youth in positive activities,So that they can advance their society.
