Assalamu Alaikum to the countrymen.

at 10:45 am, the central president of Bangladesh Chhatra League called me directly and threatened me.
He told me plainly.
“Stop writing. Otherwise you will be shot dead within 24 hours.

I then questioned him
“What is my crime?
He replied
“Why do you write against us? Tell your mother Sheikh Hasina to come to Bangladesh. Then stop writing.”

This threat is not personal
This is a direct blow to freedom of expression, safety of journalism and democracy.

I have already informed the administration and lodged a GD.
The security of my life is at stake right now—the entire responsibility lies with the threat actors and their sponsors.

countrymen,
Today if a journalist can be threatened with death for writing—
Tomorrow this threat will reach the voice of common people.

I strongly demand to the administration
A quick investigation of this threat,
Arrest of the threat,
And ensure the safety of a journalist.
