Mourning rally in memory of martyr Osman Hadi in Rangpur

A mourning rally was held in Rangpur city in memory of Shaheed Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inkilab Manch, who fought against Indian hegemony throughout his life with the slogan ‘Jan Devo, Juli Devo Na’.

On Friday (December 19) at 3 pm, the rally started from the foot of July monument in the city and ended at Police Lines Mor, Kachari Bazar roundabout and ended at DC Mor. During the entire mourning rally, “I am who are you, who are you?” Azadi Azadi’, ‘Demolish Awami League’s hideout and crush it’ – were chanted.

Thousands of revolutionary students of Rangpur participated in the mourning rally. At the end of the rally, Rangpur Mahanagar BNP convenor Shamsuzzaman Samu announced the new name of DC intersection – ‘Osman Hadi Chatwar’ with the support of the large crowd present there.

Earlier, a short pre-mourning rally was held around 2 pm. Rangpur Metropolitan BNP Convener Shamsuzzaman Samu, Member Secretary Advocate Mahfuz-un-Nabi Don, Rangpur Mahanagar Jamaat Assistant Secretary Al Amin Hasan, Jatiya Nagrik Party (NCP) Rangpur District Branch Convener Al Mamun, Mass Solidarity Movement Rangpur Metropolitan Convener Touhidur Rahman, Gana Odhikar Parishad Hanifur Rahman Sajib, Bangladesh Islami spoke. Chhatrashibir Central Research Secretary Golam Zakaria, Rangpur Metropolitan President Nurul Huda, Mahanagar Chhatra Dal Joint Convenor Mukitur Rahman Mim, Jatiya Chhatra Shakti Rangpur Metropolitan Convenor Imtiaz Ahmed Imti and others.

Speakers in the rally said – Martyr Osman Hadi was an uncompromising voice against oppression. He was an unyielding fighter for the question of protecting the sovereignty of Bangladesh and not for any political advantage. His fight will be an inspiration for generations.

The speakers also said that the strong voice of martyr Osman Hadi against Indian hegemony after the July coup has brought us to a new platform. Those who systematically shot Hadi in the head of this revolutionary July did not only shoot Hadi in the head – also July. If his contribution is forgotten, the nation will face immense loss. So this mourning rally is not only a tribute,Oath – Osman Hadi’s ideals will lead the new generation of liberation.

The speakers demanded immediate and visible justice for the murderers of Osman Hadi.

At this time, the people present showed deep respect to Osman Hadi and declared that they will continue to fight for democracy and freedom by risking their lives. In the end, the sky and air of Rangpur city became cheerful with the slogan “Osman Hadi Amar Hoke”.At the end of the rally, a special prayer was held for the soul of martyr Osman Hadi.
