Ghaibana Janaza of Shaheed Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inkilab Manch, who fought lifelong against Indian hegemony, was held in Rangpur.
On Saturday (December 20) evening, the funeral was held at the foot of the city’s July Monument with the participation of the revolutionary student crowd of Rangpur.
Later, a special prayer was offered for the soul of this revolutionary leader.
Later, a protest march started from July Monument and ended at Police Lines Mor, Kachari Bazar roundabout and ended at Shaheed Osman Hadi Square (DC’s Mor). At this time, throughout the protest march, “I am who are you, who are you, Hadi Hadi”, “We are here, we will fight for ages”, “Golami na Azadi?” Azadi Azadi’, ‘Demolish Awami League’s hideout and crush it’ – were chanted.
Thousands of revolutionary students of Rangpur along with leaders of various political parties participated in the funeral and protest march.
At the end of the protest, the speakers said in a short rally – Martyr Osman Hadi was an uncompromising voice against oppression. He was an unyielding fighter for the question of protecting the sovereignty of Bangladesh and not for any political advantage. His fight will be an inspiration for generations.
The speakers also said that the strong voice of martyr Osman Hadi against Indian hegemony after the July coup has brought us to a new platform. Those who systematically shot Hadi in the head of this revolutionary July did not only shoot Hadi in the head – also July. If his contribution is forgotten, the nation will face immense loss. Therefore, I want to say from this protest rally, not only respect, but oath – the new generation of liberation will move forward in the ideals of Osman Hadi.
