Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has arrested a BSF member for crossing the border zero line in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat and entering Bangladesh.

The incident took place in the responsible area of ​​Angarpota BOP of Patgram Upazila under the jurisdiction of 51 BGB Rangpur Battalion at approximately 4:30 am on Saturday (December 21).

According to BGB sources, constable Ved Prakash (No-213600178), member of the opposing 174/Arjun BSF Camp, crossed the Zero Line and entered about 200 yards into Bangladesh while chasing Indian cattle in Dangapara area near border pillar DAMP 1/7S. At that time the BGB patrol of Angarpota BOP arrested him and brought him to the camp.

The BGB also said that a short gun, two rounds of bullets, a wireless set and an Android mobile phone were seized from the arrested BSF personnel. while
BGB brought back 4 Bangladeshis detained by BSF at the border.BGB said that the border guarding forces of both the countries are in communication regarding the incident and further action is being taken on the detained BSF member.
