BGB special patrol at Panchari border, large amount of Indian illegal goods seized
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized a large amount of illegal Indian goods without owner by conducting a special patrol operation in the border area of Panchari Upazila of Khagrachari.
According to BGB sources, an operation was conducted in Kathaltali area of Panchari border on Friday evening based on secret information. A special patrol team led by Subedar Md Shafiqul Islam conducted the operation. The goods were seized in the operation at around 8 pm.
The seized goods include various types of Indian cosmetics, food products and clothing items. These include soaps, shampoos, detergents, spices, various kitchen utensils, women's shawls and socks, rubber products, and other consumer goods.
According to the BGB, the recovered goods were ownerless and illegally crossed the border into Bangladesh.
BGB also said in this regard,Intelligence surveillance has been strengthened to prevent smuggling and illegal infiltration in the border areas and regular patrolling activities have continued. It is said that such operations will continue in the future.
