Dumkir cell, Barisal-Kuakata highway: Shakib's body recovered from the bush.
Police recovered the body of a youth named Saqib Hawladar (25) from an area adjacent to a wooden pole on the Barisal-Kuakata highway in Dumki's cell.
Locals informed the police after seeing the body lying on the side of the road on Thursday (December 18) morning. Later, Bakerganj police station reached the spot and recovered the body. The deceased Sakib Howlader was the son of Jasim Howlader of Charboyra area of Dumki upazila of Patuakhali district of Barisal division. According to the locals, the passers-by stopped when they saw the young man's body lying in a bloody state on the side of the highway in the morning. Later, the police were informed. Jasim Howlader, father of the deceased Saqib Howlader, said that my son took an autorickshaw with passengers from Patuakhali last night. Then he called his mother. Shakib then told his mother that the condition of the passengers was not good. Since then his mobile phone was found switched off. My son was killed in a premeditated manner and the autorickshaw was hijacked. According to the police, the deceased had injury marks on various parts of his body. Seeing these injuries, the cause of death was initially confused. The police could not confirm whether it was a planned murder, a road accident or the result of an attack by robbers. According to the responsible sources of Bakerganj police station,A report on the condition of the dead body has been prepared after inspecting the spot. The body will be sent for post-mortem after the further legal process. The actual cause of death will be known once the post-mortem report is received.
