In Dumki Upazila, prayer ceremony for Begum Khaleda Zia’s recovery.

In Dumki Upazila of Patuakhali district, a prayer ceremony was held for the speedy recovery and recovery of BNP chairperson, former prime minister and three-time successful prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
On Sunday (December 21, 2025) in the afternoon, this prayer ceremony was organized at the house of Md. Ibrahim Howlader in Ward No. 1 of Muradia Union of the upazila. Upazila Women and Children Rights Forum organized this. Professor Delwar Hossain, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture of Patuakhali University of Science and Technology, was present as the chief guest. Special guests were Central Volunteers’ Assistant General Secretary Mojibur Rahman, District Women and Child Rights Forum President Jasmine Zafar, Upazila BNP Former General Secretary Jasim Uddin Howladar, Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Ibrahim Howladar, BNP Former Joint Convenor Md. Matiur Rahman Dipu, Upazila Volunteers’ Convenor Syed Ahidul Islam, Member Secretary. Masudul Alam Mridha, Upazila Krishak Dal General Secretary Zahid Khan, Upazila Women and Children Rights Forum President Helena Begum, Upazila Jubo Dal former General Secretary Ahsan Farooq, Upazila BNP member Anwar Howladar, Angaria Union Jubo Dal President Delwar Chowkidar and others. Upazila Krishak Dal joint general secretary Gholam Mortuza presided over the event and Amena Begum, president of Women and Children’s Rights Forum of Muradia Union Ward No. 1, presided over the event.
The organizers said that Begum Khaleda Zia has been suffering from various physical complications for a long time. Praying for his speedy recovery, party leaders and local religious people participated in prayer and prayers.
Speakers said that Begum Zia has left an important role in the establishment of democracy and people’s rights in the country. We are all praying for his recovery. The speakers at the prayer ceremony were Patuakhali-BNP nominated candidate in 1st seat, Alhaj Altaf Hossain expressed his determination to work together to ensure the victory of Chowdhury. Members of Women and Children Rights Forum along with leaders and activists of BNP and organizations participated in the prayer ceremony.
