In Patuakhali University, Great Victory Day is celebrated.

The Great Victory Day was celebrated at Patuakhali University of Science and Technology (Paviprabi) with due dignity. A colorful rally took place in front of the administrative building of the university at 10 am on Tuesday. The said rally circled the main main road of the campus and ended in front of Shaheed Minar. At the end of the rally, Ansar members of the university gave guard of honor to the Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. SM Hemayet Jahan in front of Shaheed Minar. Prof. Dr. SM Hemayet Jahan, Pro-Vice Chancellor presented wreaths at the minaret. Besides, Pabiprobi Utab, Zia Parishad, Nationalist Chaedal, Nationalist Staff Council presented wreaths. Later, in a discussion meeting under the chairmanship of Utab President Prof. Dr. Mamun Or Rashid, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. S.M. spoke as the chief guest. Hemayet Jahan. Dr. AB M Saiful Islam moderated, former Dean of BAM Faculty Professor Badiuzzaman, Acting Registrar Prof. Dr. Habibur Rahman, Senior Deputy Director of Public Relations and Publication Department Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Sabuj, General Secretary of Zia Parishad Dr. Hachib Mohammad Tushar, Assistant Registrar M Riaz Kanchan Shaheed, spoke among others. Chaedl President Zahidul Islam Ratul, General Secretary Sohel Rana Johnny, Employee Representative Mahbub Hossain, Mosharef Hossain etc. On the occasion of the day at 11:00 a.m. a painting competition based on Liberation War was organized at Srijani Vidyaniketan. Apart from this, a friendly football competition was held at the central playground of the university from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with the participation of teachers, officials, students and employees. In the afternoon, prayers and prayers were held at the central mosque of the university for the forgiveness of the souls of the martyrs and the peace of the nation. Prayers were conducted by the Senior Imam of the Central Mosque, Hafez Md. Abdul Quduch. Also, on the occasion of the Great Victory Day, various buildings and structures of the university campus were decorated with illumination 2 days before. In these day-long programs, teachers along with senior officials of the university administration,Students and invited guests were present.
