Raja officially collected the party nomination form from the central office of the People’s Rights Council in Dhaka on Monday (December 22) around 9 pm. Central President of Public Rights Council Nurul Haque Noor (VP Noor), Central Spokesperson Farooq Hasan and other top leaders were present at this time.

However, when BNP’s Krishak Dal president, agriculturist Hasan Zafar Tuhin, was announced as the party candidate for Pabna-3 seat, Raja started a public protest demanding a local candidate. After repeatedly raising demands from within the party, in the end BNP did not nominate him, so he decided to walk on a different path politically.

In the meantime, he has also collected nomination papers as an independent candidate from the office of Assistant Returning Officer and Chatmohar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Musa Nasser Chowdhury.
