Social development activities of BGB in Panchari: tube wells, dheutin and distribution of grants

Panchari Battalion (3 BGB) and Logang Zone have implemented various welfare programs to ensure peace, harmony and development in the hilly areas.

On Monday (December 15) morning, a tubewell was installed for 10 families in Chandrakarbari Para area under Pujgang BGB camp under Logang zone and a tubewell for 8 families in Anj Magpara area under Logang BOP. Besides, 7 bundles of cloth were handed over for use in the renovation work of Ujeya Buddhist Vihara.

Apart from this, as a part of cooperation in religious and social activities, financial grants were provided for organizing annual waj mahfil at Logang Bazar Mosque under the supervision of Logang BGB Camp.

On this occasion, Captain of Panchari Battalion and Zone Commander of Logang Zone Lt. Col. Mohammad Rabiul Islam, PPM (Service) said that BGB is always working to improve the quality of life of the local people along with border security and such social development activities will continue in the future as well.

On the same day, an exchange meeting was held under the chairmanship of Panchari Battalion Captain with the participation of local headmen, traders and dignitaries of Puzgang BGB Camp and Logang BOP area.

The meeting emphasized on maintaining law and order situation, maintaining peace and harmony in hilly areas and mutual cooperation in development activities.
