Terrorists arrested with illegal weapons in army operation in Khagrachari

A terrorist was arrested along with illegal arms and ammunition during an army operation in the agricultural research area of Khagrachari Sadar Upazila.

On Tuesday (December 30, 2025) at 6:30 p.m., a team of the Khagrachari army patrolling the Khagrachari to Dighinala road on the Khagrachari to Dighinala road conducted an operation based on secret intelligence.

A terrorist named Md. Ayyub (38) was arrested while buying and selling arms and ammunition in the operation.
The detained Md. Ayub is a resident of Khandkar Para area of ​​Chandraghona Municipality of Rangunia Upazila of Chittagong District. His father's name is Isaac.

After the arrest, a pistol, a magazine, two rounds of bullets and cash of Tk 4,200 were recovered from him.

According to army sources, the arrested accused was arrested earlier on September 15, 2024 by RAB-7 of Chittagong along with arms and ammunition.Later, the detained terrorist was brought to Khagrachari zone headquarters for taking necessary legal action.
