On the occasion of the election of the London Bangla Press Club, on the occasion of the election of the London Bangla Press Club, on Wednesday (January 7th), nominations were submitted to the Election Commissioner for various positions at the Press Club office in Princelet Street, East London. KM Abu Taher Chowdhury sent this news to IBN News from London. 31 candidates have submitted their nomination papers for the 15 positions of the Executive Committee of the Press Club. This time, 30 candidates have given nominations on behalf of Sayem-Saleh-Hannan and Tarek-Akram-Shahnaz Alliance. Ahad Chowdhury Babu has submitted nomination for the post of Vice President as an independent candidate. Solicitor Mohammad Belayet Hossain is holding the responsibility as Chief Election Commissioner and community leader Professor Shahgir Bakht Farooq and teacher Sirajul Basit Chowdhury are holding the responsibility as Election Commissioner. This year Saim-Saleh-Hannan Parishad will be contested by Saeem Chowdhury as president, Mohammad Abdul Qayyum as senior vice president, Salahuddin Shahin as vice president, Saleh Ahmad as secretary, Abdul Kader Murad as assistant secretary, Md. Abdul Hannan as treasurer, Assistant treasurer-Ekhlasur Rahman Pakku, training and Organizing Secretary-Afzal Hossain, Media and IT Secretary-Md Abdus Sattar Mishu, Events and Facilities Secretary-Dr Anisur Rahman, EC Member-Md Sarwar Hossain, Farzana Chowdhury, Lokman Hossain Kazi, Syed Rumman, Fazle Rahman Pinak.
Contesting for Tarek-Akram-Shahnaz Parishad are President-Barrister Tarek Chowdhury, Senior Vice-President-Taisir Mahmud, Vice-President-Rezaul Karim Mridha, General Secretary-Akramul Hossain, Assistant Secretary-Zakir Hossain Coyes, Treasurer-Shahnaz Sultana, Assistant Treasurer- Ibrahim Khalil, Alaur Rahman Khan Shaheen as Training and Organizing Secretary, Faisal Mahmud as Media and IT Secretary,
Events and Facilities Secretary-Rupee Amin,
EC Member-Sahidur Rahman Sohail,Enamul Haque Chowdhury, Hasnat Chowdhury, Mohammad Saju Ahmed and Mohammad Abu Taleb. 9th January is the last day for filing candidature and 25th January 2026 will be the much awaited election.
