On the death of freedom fighter Moazzem Hossain Masood in New York, United States Awami League, all allied organizations and various political, social, cultural, professional, journalists, poets, artists, writers, intellectuals and eminent persons have expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family. Masud died suddenly of a heart attack at his residence in Bengali-dominated Jackson Heights, New York (Innalillahi wa Innalillahi Rajiun). He was 72 years old at the time of his death. The late freedom fighter Mojam Hussain Masud lived with his first wife for a long time. And then about a decade ago, they divorced due to the lack of marriage between them. They have four daughters in New York. When the heroic freedom fighter Moazem Hossain Masud separated with his first wife and daughters, he went to Bangladesh and focused on business and got married to a woman living in Dhaka, Madhukhali, Faridpur. He had a good time with business and a new family. When Moazem Hossain Masud's business was damaged, he returned to New York.

In the Guard of Honor ceremony, the general secretary of the organization, heroic freedom fighter Farooq Hossain, heroic freedom fighter Monir Hossain, heroic freedom fighter Dr.Mohsin Patwari along with brave freedom fighters and numerous devotees including family members attended the Janaza of the deceased.
