Bangladesh without discrimination will be decided by yes or no vote: Ali Riaz in Rangpur

Professor Ali Riaz, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser and Chief Co-ordinator of the public awareness campaign related to the referendum, said, “If we want to rebuild the country, we must vote ‘yes’ for the referendum.” How Bangladesh will be handed over to the youth in the coming days will be decided by this yes and no vote. If you vote yes, the youth will get a new, discrimination-free Bangladesh.

He said these things at the departmental level imam conference organized for the purpose of promoting the referendum and encouraging voters at Abu Saeed Stadium in Rangpur on Wednesday (January 14) afternoon.

He said that although the July Charter was written in black ink, it was originally written with the blood of the martyrs of the July movement. If the charter is to be implemented this July, a referendum must be said yes. No person is being voted in a referendum. If the people say yes, no political party will have the power to block reforms. People’s money has been looted for sixteen long years. A yes vote in the referendum will stop this looting and corruption in many cases.

He warned about the future and said that we should all be vigilant so that no fascism is created in Bangladesh again. Referendum is one of the tools of that vigilance.

In the conference, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser (Consensus Commission) Monir Haider along with senior administration officials,Dignitaries and civil society representatives were present.
