Death of poisoned liquor seller in prison in Rangpur

7 people have already lost their lives in Rangpur after drinking poisonous liquor. Zainul Abedin (46), a drug dealer in Rangpur jail, has died. On Wednesday (January 14) morning, he collapsed while undergoing treatment at Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
It is known that Zainul Abedin is the son of Anarul Islam of Kishamat Vasantpur Nayapara village of Badarganj.
He was arrested by the police last Monday (January 12) for the crime of selling rectified spirit. Later he was sent to jail by the court.
Rangpur Central Jail Senior Jail Superintendent (Additional Duty) Abhijit Chowdhury confirmed the death and said there was a drug and murder case against Zainul Abedin. He was sent from the jail to Rangpur Medical College Hospital when he felt chest pain on Tuesday afternoon. He died at around 5:30 am on Wednesday morning while undergoing treatment in the cardiology department.
Meanwhile, the death toll from drinking rectified spirit has risen to seven. Yesterday (January 13), two people named Rashedul Islam and Abdul Malek of Shyampur Bazar area died on Tuesday night. Manik Chandra Roy (60) died earlier in the morning.They were under treatment at Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
