Sheikh Mahtab Hossain has been selected as the best journalist of Dainik Jessore Barta newspaper.

Daily Jessore Barta’s annual meeting was held in a festive atmosphere. This day-long get-together was organized on Friday at Gadkhali Panisara intersection of Jhikargacha upazila of Jessore, which is known as the capital of flowers. The entire program turned into a festive atmosphere with the participation of journalists, representatives and guests of daily Jessore Barta around the meeting.

President of Press Club Jessore Zahid Hasan Tukun was present as the chief guest in the meeting presided over by Shihab Uddin, editor and publisher of the newspaper. Press Club Jessore General Secretary S. was present as a special guest. At the beginning of the event, the invited guests are welcomed with flowers. During the welcome speech, the guests gave directions to the journalists. Speakers emphasized on objective, responsible and public interest journalism and called for strengthening the role of local media.

After the welcome speech, the chief guest Zahid Hasan Tukun was selected as the best journalist in the issue-based category in recognition of his special contribution to journalism in the past one year by the chief guest Zahid Hasan Tukun.
