In Patuakhali University, the 90th birth anniversary of Zia ur Rahman was celebrated.

On the occasion of the 90th birth anniversary of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, a prayer and discussion meeting was held today at 3:30 pm in the conference room of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University. University UTAB, Zia Parishad and nationalist employees presided over the event organized by UTAB President Professor Dr. Mamun Or Rashid. Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. S. spoke as the chief guest. M. Hemayet Jahan. Dean of Post Graduate Studies Prof. Dr. spoke as a special guest. Muhammad Atiqur Rahman, Zia Parishad Pobiprabi Officer Unit President Md. Abubakar Siddique, General Secretary Dr. Hachib Mohammad Tushar. The meeting was conducted by Dr. ABM Saiful Islam. In the speech of the chief guest, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. SM Hemayet Jahan said, “Martyr President Ziaur Rahman was a proponent of multi-party democracy. There is a great lack of idealistic politicians like him. He has worked in the formation of modern Bangladesh. The nation will remember his contribution forever with respect. The meeting started with recitation from the Holy Quran. At the beginning, prayers and prayers were conducted by the central government for the forgiveness of the departed souls of martyrs Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia.
