He was immediately admitted to Bhagalpur Jahurul Islam Medical College and Hospital in Kishoreganj on Thursday (January 22, 2026) afternoon. Advocate Fazlur Rahman left for Bajitpur to attend a public meeting organized by BNP Chairman Tarek Rahman. But on the way suddenly physical illness occurs. Later, the activists who were with him quickly took him to the nearest hospital. The doctor on duty there advised him to be admitted to another hospital for better treatment after initial examination. The director of the hospital, Dr. Bahar Uddin Bhuiyan, told the media that advocate Fazlur Rahman’s physical condition is stable. Initially, he had severe shortness of breath. Shortness of breath eases slightly after rapid administration of oxygen.
He also said that for the sake of Advocate Fazlur Rahman’s necessary treatment, various tests are currently underway.As his body is exposed to fever and shortness of breath, we believe he may be suffering from pneumonia. But after getting the report of all the tests, after finally confirming the matter, he will be given proper treatment.
