
10 killed including the gunman in shootings in British Columbia, Canada

Police say 10 people, including the suspected gunman, have been found dead after a shooting incident in Canada’s British Columbia province. According to Reuters, this incident happened in the city of Tumbler Ridge in the northeastern part of the province on Tuesday (February 10). Khabar Ibn News.
Six people were found dead inside a high school in Tumbler Ridge, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Two more victims were found in a house. And the other died on the way to the hospital.
A suspected shooter was also found dead, police said. He probably died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No one else is involved in the incident and police believe there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Tumbler Ridge, a remote town in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in northeastern British Columbia, has a population of about 2,400. The city is about 1155 kilometers northeast of Vancouver.
According to the police, 25 more people were injured in the incident. They are being treated at a local medical center.
British Columbia Public Safety Minister Nina Krieger said in a statement on X,”All our thoughts are with the people of Tumbler Ridge. I have spoken to the town’s mayor and the local MLA and offered all possible cooperation.”
