Exhibition of 7 Bangladeshi-American artists in the mainstream

Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning, Jekyll and New York’s Resort World will open a joint art exhibition on Friday, February 20. This mainstream exhibition at Resort World’s Red Wall Art Gallery in Jamaica will feature the paintings of 7 Bangladeshi artists along with other artists. And the exhibition will be curated by Bangladeshi origin artist and sculptor Alma Ferdousi Lea.
Bangladeshi American artists participating in this exhibition are Biswajit Chowdhury, Alma Lea, Deepa Debnath, Farhana Yasmin, Rudra Jahangir, Sharmin Siraji, Tariq Zulfikar. Biswajit Chowdhury, Alma Lea, Deepa Debnath have one picture each, while Farhana Yasmin has two, Rudra Jahangir has two, Sharmin Sirazi has three and Tariq Zulfikar has three.The exhibition titled ‘Culture through Kaleidoscope’ focuses on the diverse paintings of immigrants. The selected exhibition will continue till April 17. Alma Lea, the sole curator of this mainstream exhibition, has invited Bangladeshi art lovers to this exhibition.
